Interestingly, wedding planning has been remarkably stress-free up to now. HLM and I agree on most everything to do with the ceremony and reception. (Keeping the wedding small and low-impact helps to keep the stress levels down, too.) Where we’ve had the most disagreement, however, is on what to do for a honeymoon. I would be content to lounge around a bed and breakfast for two weeks, where HLM is more interested in actually doing stuff. However, if you appeal to my eco-warrior side…
As a result, we’re looking in to option for volunteer vacations — where you go to some exotic locale and rescue sea turtles or shore up nesting sites or something equally integral to global health. It sounds right up both our streets, but now the hard part is finding one that works with the wedding/reception schedule. Note to future wedding planners: if you want to do a cool honeymoon like this, plan the honeymoon first and organize the wedding around it! I am tearing my hair out with scheduling confusion.
More on this when we’ve actually booked…
In other news, today’s healthy choice was going to the gym for my weight training class (which also means that I’ve been to the gym once for the week, and tomorrow will make two — yay, resolutions!). Off now to get started on dinner; I’m making one of my all-time-favourite Jamie Oliver recipes tonight, from his Jamie at Home book (which is pretty ace, if you’re in the market for a cookbook). So good on a winter evening.

Hey Brenna,
I’m really enjoying your blog! And yes, that Jamie Oliver book is great. I’m about to go for a swim, in keeping with my resolutions.
Happy New Year!
